Later the flavour was suspended, Phil Keoghan stated that the bear witness intended to resume filming where it had left off,[18] [19] [20] but he as well acknowledged that filming could not resume until viral transmissions declined.[21] [22] Kelly Kahl, the President of CBS Entertainment, stated during the 2020 upfronts that the show would moving picture "as soon every bit we can safely get back into production" with the producers working to "plot out a race that sticks to countries that are condom" but acknowledged the difficulties of "literally [having] to navigate some international waters."[23] Kahl besides stated that he wasn't aware of whatever contestants that had dropped out of the flavour.[24] Keoghan after stated at ATX Tv Festival a year later that he could not guarantee that every squad would exist able to render once filming restarted.[25] In an interview subsequently The Amazing Race 32 aired, van Munster denied the possibility of a domestically-filmed flavor much like the Family Edition.[26] Keoghan said that even with a domestically-filmed show, "information technology'southward the transportation of moving from one safe environment to some other safe environment" that would be an issue, a factor he dealt with in producing the second flavor of Tough As Nails during the COVID pandemic.[27] In April 2021, Mitch Graham, SVP of Culling Programming, stated that production looked at the option of going to Covid-light countries but that it was unlikely as information technology would not lead to the same feel of traveling the globe.[28] The following month, the creators of the show stated that they have plans to resume filming the flavor once they can assure team rubber with mass vaccinations in target travel locations.[29] [thirty] Kahl expressed during 2021 upfronts that he hoped to take the flavor air in the midseason of the 2021–22 boob tube flavor provided that enough countries open up in the coming months to film the remaining legs.[31] In an interview with Gold Derby in June 2021, Keoghan stated that a plan to film safely had been established.[32]
